Banza Launches ePortal Banking Edition for Digital Corporate Banking

Banza has launched Banza ePortal Banking Edition, a corporate banking portal that lets banks onboard and serve business customers online — from account opening and compliance screening to financing requests, remote video KYC and ongoing account management.

Corporate banking involves more complex digital journeys than retail. A business account application carries company registration data, ownership structure and ultimate beneficial owners, signatory mandates, tax residency declarations and compliance screening — and all of it has to reach the bank as structured, reviewable information rather than a scanned document package.

Banza ePortal Banking Edition brings these journeys into one digital portal that works with the bank’s existing technology stack. The portal is open 24/7 to prospective and existing corporate customers, and in production it handles 1,000+ requests a day.

Corporate account opening is difficult to digitize because it typically requires the customer to have already completed onboarding and KYC. Banza ePortal Banking Edition lets banks accept corporate account applications digitally — even from companies that aren’t yet customers — without compromising KYC/AML: all required checks happen within the existing onboarding framework. This drives new customer acquisition while cutting unnecessary back-and-forth, and it plugs into the bank’s existing systems without requiring anything to be rebuilt.

Corporate account opening as an acquisition channel

Digital corporate banking is not only about serving existing customers. ePortal Banking Edition opens the account-opening journey to prospective customers — companies with no prior relationship with the bank.

This turns corporate account opening into a digital acquisition channel. A business comparing banking providers starts its application online, completes the required company and compliance information, and the submission enters the bank’s internal processes as structured data — without a branch visit.

Three modules, one corporate customer account

All three modules run on the same corporate banking portal framework and share one corporate customer account, company identification and CRM integration, so the journey stays connected instead of splitting into a separate application per process.

Online corporate account opening

A guided application takes a company representative from registration code to account details in a single session. Company data is pre-filled from the national business registry rather than entered manually, and the servicing branch is chosen on an interactive map instead of a dropdown of several hundred addresses.

The application captures ownership structure, ultimate beneficial owners and signatory mandates with proof of authority, and supports multi-currency accounts, tariff comparison and qualified electronic signatures. After submission the customer receives account details and tracks application status in real time.

Digital corporate financing

Companies request a preliminary financing decision before completing a full loan application with the required financial documents, signed with a qualified electronic signature. Application parameters adapt to the lending segment, including SME and agribusiness. Financial documents, application status and correspondence with the relationship manager stay in one digital channel.

Remote video KYC

Verification sessions are booked against bank managers’ real-time availability, so the customer picks a slot that actually exists. The video link and verification guidance are generated and sent automatically, and the representative completes a five-step guided flow from a smartphone.

The module serves new corporate customers during account opening and existing customers when account representatives change.

Compliance built into the digital journey

Corporate account opening is more than putting paper forms online. Regulatory steps have to run inside the journey, not after it — which is why UBO disclosure, AML and sanctions screening with Enhanced Due Diligence flagging, FATCA and CRS tax residency forms and remote identity verification are part of the application itself.

Forms and compliance workflows are configured by business users for specific jurisdictions without developer involvement. When a business or regulatory requirement changes, the bank adapts the journey through configuration instead of opening a development cycle.

Ongoing corporate account management

Corporate banking does not end when an account is opened. Companies update registration data, change directors and account representatives, and complete re-verification — each a regulated event that traditionally sends an existing client back to a branch.

The same portal, the same corporate customer account and the same compliance flow handle all of them digitally.

Built around the bank’s existing technology

Banza ePortal Banking Edition is a digital layer around the systems a bank already uses, not a replacement for them.

  • Native Creatio integration: applications arrive in Creatio as structured data, trigger the relevant business process, receive processing statuses and return them to the portal.
  • Full REST API coverage: every portal function is available to other CRM and BPM platforms or to the bank’s internal systems.
  • No platform lock-in: the portal operates as a standalone product and integrates with the bank’s existing technology environment.
  • White-label interface: banks use the provided design or rebuild the interface around their own design system and Figma layouts.

Implementation and pricing

Implementation depends on the modules selected, the depth of integration with core and surrounding systems, and the bank’s internal approval processes. During initial assessment Banza defines the required integrations, configuration and customer journeys, and provides an estimate based on the specific banking environment.

Pricing follows the same logic — modules, UI customization, deployment model and integration scope — with anything beyond the standard framework documented in a functional specification.

FAQ

1. How does Banza ePortal Banking Edition adapt to each bank?

Corporate onboarding has a common foundation — company and registry data, ownership and UBO information, signatory mandates and compliance checks — but each bank has its own processes and regulatory requirements. Banza ePortal Banking Edition provides the core digital journey as a configurable product, allowing banks to adapt forms, workflows and compliance logic to their specific requirements.

2. Can banks configure the onboarding process themselves?

Yes. Business users can configure form structures and compliance logic without developer involvement, adapting the onboarding journey to the requirements of the relevant jurisdiction.

3. Is remote video KYC accepted in every market?

Regulatory acceptance of remote video KYC is assessed on a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction basis during implementation.
